Just a few words about NLP ... for 66 hours

Hypnotherapists trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming often wax long and lyrical about NLP as a therapeutic tool ... but not non-stop for nearly three days!

That though is was a Bahraini man claims to have done in his bid to break the world record for the longest non-stop talk.

Starting on Wednesday, 5th May 2004 Jameel al-Nasser started talking about NLP at 7.30pm local time - kept talking for another 66 hours - finishing at 1.30pm on Saturday, 8th May

The 56-year-old management trainer talked for eight hours at a stretch, taking breaks to pray and take drinks of warm water, two cups of coffee and consume a custard.

Mr Nasser attributed his success to his enthusiasm for NLP. "The subject was very close to my heart and I was able to speak volumes on that," he explained

Now Mr Nasser is waiting for official confirmation of a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

He is sending two witness statements plus a video of his "talkathon" to the Guinness Book of World Records in London.

If his claim is upheld it will take over the record from Zimbabwean Errol Muzawazi, who spoke on Polish democracy for 62 hours.
