OPTIONAL PLAIN TEXT HEADER: To use the text header option, edit the "var logotype" in the "header.js" from "graphic" to "text". Edit the "var logo1" "Your Website Title" text in the "header.js" with your site name.

Step 3:
SETUP HOMEPAGE JQUERY SLIDESHOW: | More details
If you are using the default jQuery slideshow homepage: The "index.html" includes a slideshow application called the "jQuery Cycle Plugin". In the "JQuery" folder replace 6 images, "imageJQ-1.jpg" through "imageJQ-6.jpg". Make your images 800 x 350 pixels. This will update the homepage animation. Click the link above for details and options. Edit the "index.html" to change the image sizes or add more images.

NOTE: Try to use a smaller byte sized image for the first image "imageJQ-1.jpg" for faster loading of the homepage. It is best to save these images at medium quality.

If you are using one of the "OPTIONAL" homepages skip this step and see "REPLACE THE PAGE GRAPHICS" below.

Step 4:
EDIT FOOTER: | More Details
Open the "footer.js" file in Notepad or a text editor and change the "Yourwebsite.com" text with your site name or company name. This will update the footer info on all pages.

Step 5:
EDIT CONTACT INFO: | More Details
Open the "contact.js" file in Notepad or any text editor and change the company name, address, phone number and e-mail address (edit the email in 2 places). This will update the contact info on the "contact" page.

Step 6:
EDIT THE CONTACT FORM: | More Details

Click for current info on setting up the template forms.

Click for info on adding more fields to the forms.

Click for changing form sizes or colors.

If you want to use only e-mail on the contact page you can remove the contact form from the "contact.htm" between the comment tags.

Step 7:
REPLACE THE PAGE GRAPHICS: | More Details
Replace the "about.jpg", "clients.jpg", "services.jpg" etc. in the "picts" folder with your own pictures. In Windows Explorer you can hover over any image to see the sizes in pixels. The "background-???.jpg" images are used for the header, footer and homepage backgrounds.

The 8 "home-OPT-?.jpg" images in the picts folder are only used on optional pages 2 and 3. The "home.jpg" is used only on the "OPTIONAL-No-Animation-Home.htm".

Step 8:
SETUP THE GALLERY IMAGES & PAGES: | Gallery Setup Help | Image Text Editing
If you will not be using the Paypal cart pages, move the 9 "FORMgallery?.htm" pages into the extras folder. If you will be using the cart, see Paypal setup below on this page.

Because this template includes a slideshow and text with each image, the best way to setup the images in the gallery is not to actually edit the HTML pages and change the pictures on each individual page. The fastest way is to simply replace the pictures in the "gallery" folder with your own by overwriting the files that are in there now and using the same generic names. Gallery thumbnails named "gallery?-?.jpg" in the "gallery" folder are 130 x 87 pixels in size. Gallery large page images named "Fgallery?-?.jpg" are 600 x 400 pixels. You can make these images any sizes you would like.

Click here to not use text in the viewer with your images and for other options.

EXAMPLE: SETUP GALLERY IMAGE 1-1: In the "gallery" folder replace the "gallery1-1.jpg" with a 130 x 87 thumbnail image. Replace the "Fgallery1-1.jpg" with a 600 x 400 .jpg of the same image. In the "gallery_pages" folder edit the "Fgallery1-1.htm" with your image details. Now open the "gallery1.htm" page and check the first image on the page, click on the image to see that it is setup. Your first image will be setup and you can proceed to gallery image 1-2. Also see gallery setup and image text options.

In the "gallery" folder, replace the 9 "map-gallery-?.jpg" images in the "picts" folder. These images are 75 x 50 pixels and are used on the site_map.htm page.

IMAGE VIEWER OPTIONS: | More Details
You can change some options for the gallery image viewer page (image-viewer.htm) by editing the pop-closeup.js in Notepad. Options include new browser window, or popup for the viewer.

Step 9:
EDIT HTML5 VIDEOS: | Click for add-on details
Videos are included in the "video1-1.htm" through "video3-6.htm" webpages in the "videos" folder for a total of 18 videos.

Video files, folders and pages are named for their location on the main video pages (video1.htm, 2 and 3). Example: "video1-1" is for the first video popup in "video1.htm", "video2-4" is for the fourth video popup in "video2.htm".

All files for the videos are located in the "videos" folder. With HTML5 video you will create your 1 movie file, and covert it to 5 formats: wmv, mp4, m4v, webm, ogv. Replace 5 video files for video #1 page #1 in the "videos/video1-1" folder and one image, the "video1-1.jpg". Do the same for all 18 videos. See the HTML5 video support page for setup details and options.

Video Options:
You can optionally replace the popup page video code in any of the "video?.htm" HTML pages with YouTube video code by generating the code in your YouTube account and pasting it into any of the "video?.htm" pages in the "videos" folder.

The video popup window size is set in the "pop-closeup.js". Video page sidebar links are edited in the "sidebar-video.js". The color theme for the video popups are set in the "videos/colortheme-popups.css" file, using the css files in the "videos/colors-video" folder.

If you add more video pages by duplicating the existing pages, you can turn on another group of 3 links in the "sidebar-video.js" file.

Step 10:
PAYPAL CUSTOM PAYMENT PAGE SETUP:
This template includes a Paypal payment page called "custom.htm". Edit the "paypal@your-web-domain.com" in this page with your Paypal e-mail and you can use this page to accept custom payments by sending clients a link to this page and having them fill in the amount on the payment page.

Step 11:
SETUP THE SITE SEARCH:
Open the "search.js" and edit "allwebcodesign.com" with your website domain. To turn off the site search, open the "search.js" and edit the show search to "no".

If you require a more custom search with no ads, you can use the "OPTIONAL-Burgdorf-search.js" in your "extras" folder. Click here for help setting up the Burgdorf search.

To use a Google only search, move the "search.js" into your "extras" folder. Move the "OPTIONAL-GOOGLE-search.js" into the main template folder and rename that to "search.js".

Step 12:
EDIT THE MENUS AND DROPDOWN MENUS: | Drop Menu Editing | Adding Pages
This template includes horizontal CSS menus. You can edit the menus as you need and add and remove links and pages. You will edit the menu.js in a text editor to change the menu names and add items. Click for CSS horizontal menu help. See options below for other menus.

Step 13:
EDIT TWITTER FACEBOOK LINKEDIN LINKS: | Social Links | .js variable editing
Open the "social-links.js" in a text editor and edit the 3 link variables with your link to Twitter Facebook and LinkedIn. The "social-links.js" includes "yes/no" variables to turn off any or all of the social links. Variable editing help.

Step 14:
EDIT PAGES: | Software Choices | Notepad Editing
Edit the text on all HTML pages with your information. You can use a text editor like Notepad, Exp Web, Dreamweaver or any wysiwyg editor. Take care not to delete any of the HTML tags that surround the text. You will find notes inside each page to help you navigate. NOTE: You will not see the footer and header in some software because they are .js include files so you can globally edit your menu, header, footer and other info.

Step 15:
EDIT TITLES, DESCRIPTIONS AND KEYWORDS: | More Details
Open each of the pages and change the titles (at the very top of the page) and also the description and the keywords with your product or service info. You can edit one page and copy and paste to the other pages. Be careful to only change what's inside the "" so you don't disturb the html code. Page titles are important so your site will get a good listing at Google, Yahoo!, Bing and other search engines. Click for optimization help.

Step 16:
UPLOAD: | More Details
Upload the pages on to your hosting company's server using ftp software or Windows Explorer or your control panel. Be sure to upload the "picts" and "JQuery" and "gallery_pages" and "gallery" and "videos" folders and all files in these folders.

Options:

WATERMARK SETUP: | More Details
In the "picts" folder is an image called "watermark.gif". You can replace this image with your own .gif image. If you change the size of the "watermark.gif" edit the height and width of the "#gallery-watermark" class in the css file.

Turn the watermark off in the "watermark.js".

Edit the location and opacity in the "#gallery-watermark" class in the css file.

ABOUT THE TEXT WITH EACH IMAGE: | More Details.
When you click any gallery thumbnail the browser will open the "image-viewer.htm". This page includes javascript to show the Fgallery image and also the Fgallery .htm page that is in the "gallery_pages" folder. You have some options with this setup. More Details.

SETTING UP THE SLIDESHOW PICTURES: | More Details
The slideshow is currently setup to display all pictures in the gallery folder. If you would like to add or remove pictures from the slideshow, open the slideshow.htm in Notepad and look for the "EDIT THIS AREA" note. Copy and paste to add new pictures to the list, or delete lines to remove pictures. You can also set the AutoPlay speed. Look for "var rotate_delay = 3000".

LINING UP THE GALLERIES:
If you change the notes near the top of the gallery pages, the pictures may no longer line up from one page to the next. To line up the galleries, edit the ".gallery-align" class height in the "coolstyle.css".

PAGE HEIGHTS:
You can set an overall page height for all pages so short pages will not have the footer info to high on the page. Edit the ".pageheight" class in the "coolstyle.css".

SITE MAP PAGE:
The "site_map.htm" is linked from the index.html. It is best not to remove this link so search engines can find your site map and properly list all your pages when users search at major search engines.

FONTS: | More Details
You can change your font colors and sizes by editing the "coolstyle.css" with a text editor. You can find other font colors by clicking here. Optionally change the font sizes in the "coolstyle.css" file. Change the class px number after the note "THE NEXT LINE CONTROLS THE FONT SIZE FOR ALL PAGES" size to change the copy size on all pages. Change the "title" px size to change all the title sizes.

DROP MENU EDITING:
See the "EDIT THE MENUS AND DROPDOWN MENUS" section above.

CHANGING OR ADDING MENU LINKS: | Non-Drop Menu Editing | Drop Menu Editing
This template includes 5 menus total. You can change the names of the links like "about" or "services" to other page names by editing the "menu.js". Only change the one instance of the name and not the name with the ".htm" after it. Whatever you change in the menu.js will change every page on the website. Keep the names short so your page does not get wider than 750 pixels if you can. You can even add more pages by copying one link in the menu.js and pasting it right below the next. Be sure to back up your files before you edit them. There are notes in the "menu.js" for adding new links.

Editing the gallery navigation bar:
image
Open the "menu_gallery.js" file in Notepad and copy and paste to add more galleries to the navigation.

The "menu_footer.js" is for the links at the bottom of each page.

The "sidebar-viewer.js" is another menu you can edit. This is used only in the image viewer page and in the slideshow.htm.

The "sidebar-video.js" is for the links on the left side of the video pages.

The "footer.js" includes links you can edit as well.

SLIDESHOW AND VIEWER ZOOM AND BACK BUTTONS:
Code for the zoom and back arrow in the gallery image viewer and slideshow.htm can be edited in the "sidebar-viewer.js". Be sure if you edit the zoom to test in a few different browsers.

ADDING GALLERIES: | More Details
For adding new gallery pages be sure you also add a new page in the "gallery_pages" folder for each new image you add with the exact same name as your image name.

You can add more gallery pages to your website by copying and pasting any one of the pages and renaming it to whatever you need. You can then add links in the menu files. There are notes in the gallery pages to help you copy and paste to add more rows of pictures if needed. More Details, or Click for adding a new image row.
